THE NOTRE-DAME-DE-BRIANÇON PLANT, SAVOIE, RHÔNE-ALPES REGION, FRANCE
CARBONE SAVOIE HAS BEEN PRESENT ON THE BANKS OF THE RIVER ISÈRE IN THE HEART OF THE FRENCH ALPS SINCE THE END OF THE 19TH CENTURY.
Our presence in Savoie is linked to the nature of the industry of carbon products which requires a great deal of energy. Here we exploit hydroelectric energy produced by the steepness of the gorges of the valley through which the Isère flows. With good connections to road and rail networks and strategic European routes, the site employs 250 people in the Tarentaise. The quality of life here is quite amazing thanks to the immediate proximity of numerous ski resorts.
The industrial plant includes Carbone Savoie’s Purchasing, IT, Engineering, Finance, Logistics, Maintenance, Human Resources, Quality Control, Laboratory, Reception, General Services and EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) departments.
